- 2004: Texscan-MSI announces discontinuance of the GP-2000 Graphics System that served as an accessory to our Z-Series Character Generators. Microsoft's Power Point program in conjunction with a Video Board with NTSC output can be used as an inexpensive solution to create Photo and Graphic Scripts to play out through a Texscan Z-Series Character Generator.
- 2002: Texscan-MSI announces it's character generator interface to TFT's Model 911 Emergency Alert system. This should begood news to those companies that have Texscan Character Generators and must install an Emergency Alert System. Texscan will shortly introduce a generic interface to most EAS systems in use today.
- 2001: Texscan-MSI has completed development of a Windows version of software that interfaces a PC computer with the Texscan Character Generators. This product is named SGEDIT-W. Some of the features are ease of editing any number of Character Generators via a modem and also by cable direct. It makes off line message generating a reality and enables file back up storage of CG data on a PC. It also has a preview screen that shows how the page will look to the viewers.
- 2001: Texscan-MSI introduced a multi-media graphics system to interface to their Series Character Generators with Genlock. This new product is dubbed GP-2000. It enables the creation of photo advertising scripts with expanded text & font features overlayment, sound backgrounds, and voice overlay. The Ad scripts are scheduled to play via the character generator. The best feature of the GP-2000 is it's very easy for anyone to learn and use for creating advertisng content.
- 2001: Texscan-MSI is operating a NOAA Weather Service delivery system to cable companies for display on their Texscan Character Generators. The NOAA data delivery is via modem at present but will be upgraded to an Internet delivery service.
- 2001: Texscan-MSI announces the placement of a Digital Video Server in an education environment that is multi channel and used for a digital Video Library and play back system. The ABC Server takes the place of VCR's with a much greater feature set.
- 2001: Texscan-MSI has introduced a version of the Terra Wave adapted to the needs of internal business advertising.
- 2000: Comserter News: Texscan-MSI has developed a Digital Conversion to the popular models 191, 192, 194 Comserters. These Comserters have been ultra reliable and are well known in the cable TV industry. Customers that have these analog models can have them converted to digital and interfaced to Texscan's Digital Server for an economical digital insertion solution.
- 1999: Texscan-MSI has completed development of a new Digital Video Server to interface with Texscan's Digital Prizm Commercial Insertion Switch.
